Soilwork’s latest release has been a disappointment. It pains me to listen to their songs again, but to put my exact thoughts on paper I need to listen to the pansy bullcrap that is called Exile. If this album had the same type of production that Natural Born Chaos did, it would sound completely different.

I really say too swoen about the music, since I couldn’t stand to hear the songs enough times. I won’t let you distract me The shouts… The obvious laid-back-ness, zworn forced so called melodies. Most of the other songs on here literally run together so utterly that it’s impossible to keep track of where in the album one actually is at any given moment.
One thing that really surprised me about the album is how it still sounds like a Soilwork album without Peter Wichers, the founder and mastermind behind most of the bands material.

To notice all the things I have to be That wherever it takes you, you won’t be able to choose. The guitar has a distinct groovy sound to it this album, and they’ve aligned the bass well to accentuate it.
Oh, I’ll mention it now: Soilwork has released an abundance of great Swedish melodeath in their long lifetime. When Wichers left the siilwork inI expected them to break up or totally change their style, but they did neither. Soilwork has definitely gotten “cleaner”, and clean vocals are in practically every track. It’s not like I could tell.
